My Story
In February 07, 2024, I signed up for an introduction to acrylics art class that started that evening. I've been slowly painting as family life allows. It seems I have Layton onset, artistic abilities. My husband who is rarely wrong, says that he always knew it was in me.
The animals I paint are real dogs, cats, and chickens. The books are mostly real, and usually painted from the spines of first edition first printing antique books.
Since I paint what I see you can piece together a small portion of what my daily life looks like. It's chaotic with a lot of fur, a lot of books and a lot of fun. I'm hoping these things resonate with you also.
My Mission
To fight old age and brain atrophy through creativity.
To make something out of thin air and love what I've painted.
For my children to have these pieces of me when I'm gone and know the story of each one.
For you to have a little more color and artsy vibes in your life because you bought art a human made.
I want to laugh more because of the art I created. After all, a smile on a dog is something to laugh about!
Our Values
Creativity: Every item bares a design a human made. Each is a result of months of painting and refining. God Created and called it Good. I'm simply trying to mimic that example.
Dumb Art: No AI is used in my art creation process. I am a slow painter. My tech is slow, like, 0mph, No GB or RAM. It is the speed of a left handed snail that needs to constantly fix her smudges.
Quality: We are committed to delivering high-quality products that our customers can cherish for years. I.E. Those puzzles are so nice you should really pass them to a friend once you are done!
Balance: To use this small business to increase my work/life balance. AND to literally keep the mountains of books in my house balanced neatly on their shelvess. Ha, ha haaaaaa.
Honest Business: You should know what your money funds. Profits from the items purchased on this site underwrite my husband's Barnes and Nobel addiction. It will also add support beams to our floors where the book shelves are… The book shelves are EVERYWHERE.
